Virtual Challenge, organised by the RAF Museum

Entrance Cost: £20 per person (all proceeds will go towards supporting the RAF Museum)

Registrations for the Lancaster Challenge opened on Saturday 9 January 2021, exactly 80 years since the first test flight of the Avro Lancaster. Whether you need to walk off the Christmas calories, or get outdoors to beat the lockdown blues, participants of the Lancaster Challenge can walk, run, hike, swim, cycle or row their way to the finish line. Participants will have access to a downloadable log sheet to record their 80K, 150K or 500K distance, before being rewarded with an exclusive, Lancaster Challenge medal after the challenge closes on 17 May, the anniversary of Operation CHASTISE, better known as the Dambusters Raid.

You can run, walk, cycle or walk the dog to complete your Challenge. We want you to keep you motivated and moving in Lockdown so you can start your Challenge as soon as you sign up!

Join us for an Easter adventure at Shugborough Estate. Find all of farmer Lisa's lost lambs on our family-friendly trail with a woolly sheep pencil as a reward. We know how much joy our Easter trails bring to visitors each year and we hope this year will be the same. We ask that you support us by booking your estate tickets in advance.

Farmer Lisa has lost nine of her cheekiest lambs and needs help finding them. See if you can spot them messing about around the estate and match them to your map. £2 per trail pack which, includes trail sheet and woolly sheep pencil as a reward. Before visiting, please check local and national government guidance on travelling.

You don’t need to book your Easter trails, but you will need to book your Easter visit. To manage visitor numbers so that social distancing can be ensured for the safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors, the pre-booking system still applies. Booking will provide access to the property, not the Easter trail, which can be purchased on the day (whilst stocks last). Tickets are released every Friday.

Tickets for the Spring Plant Hunters' Fair at Sugnall Walled Garden have gone on sale. It is just £1.00 to enter the plant fair and walled garden. The event offers the opportunity to visit lots of fabulous independent nurseries with thousands of great plants. They will come laden with flowering bulbs, perennials and shrubs to provide instant colour, alpines, trees, herbs and lots of later flowering plants to get planted now for colour into the summer and beyond. Now’s the time to think ahead and plan that dream border for your garden. The nursery folk are on hand to give honest, straightforward advice on choosing and growing the right plants for your garden.

Situated in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside the Walled Kitchen Garden at Sugnall Hall near Eccleshall dates from 1738 and has been beautifully restored as a working kitchen garden producing fruit and vegetables to serve in the tearoom and for homemade jams and chutneys on sale at the garden. For those of you who have caught the "grow your own" bug the garden will be an inspiration.

This popular event will be tickets only and offers better than half price entry on these days to the garden and plant fair of just £4.00 The plant fair is situated in the heart of this most charming and beautiful 12-acre garden famed for its dazzling spring display of rhododendrons and azaleas with massed drifts of bulbs.

There will be a fabulous line-up of top specialist nurseries from across the country offering a tremendous variety of plants.

The plant fair is a special fund-raising event for the Willoughbridge Garden Charitable Trust who maintain this wonderful garden and will take place from 10am - 5pm on Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd May 2021. Dogs on leads welcome. The garden tearoom will also be open serving delicious homemade food and cream teas.

If that’s not enough, you can join in the fun after dark for our Night Fire festival on Saturday evening. There will be stunning displays from Glider FX with computer controlled pyrotechnics and lights, we will close the evening with a fantastic firework finale.

Make it an experience for the whole family, as part of our Stafford Half Marathon event we run a Fun Run for friends, family and classmates to get together and take part in. Starting and finishing under the big Half Marathon gantry in Market Square, the route consists of two laps around the town centre, approximately one mile in distance.

We ask that fun runners under 12 years old are accompanied by an adult/supervisor over the age of 16.

The 2021 Stafford Half Marathon will start in Stafford town centre at 10am. The route will head off from the town centre on traffic-controlled roads, incorporating two steady climbs before returning to the Market Square.

Stafford Half Marathon is one of the area’s top races, now in its 38th year.  We cannot wait to welcome you back to the start line; whether you are new to or have renewed your passion for running during lockdown, register early to ensure you don't miss out!

Neo-blues & soul singer Rory Graham, aka Rag‘n’Bone Man, is an English singer-songwriter known for his distinctive baritone voice. Having won the 2017 BRIT’s ‘British Breakthrough Act’ and receiving the BRIT’s Critics’ Choice Award in the same year, Rag‘n’Bone Man cemented his success with the record-breaking release of his 4 x platinum No. 1 album Human and a further BRIT Award for ‘British Single’ for the title track (Human) in 2018. The album has been recognised internationally, earning Rory sell-out tours and festival appearances around the globe. Subsequent side projects include the monster hit collaboration track ‘Giant’ with Calvin Harris. He is currently working on his sophomore album, set for release in 2021.

Keane last appeared as part of Forest Live in 2010, and the upcoming dates will see them return to perform material from their extensive repertoire. After a six-year hiatus, the band made a long overdue return in 2019 with their latest studio album ‘Cause and Effect’ and a triumphant sold-out UK tour. This release followed on from a succession of previous No 1 albums that have accumulated over 13 million sales worldwide, including the seminal debut smash, ‘Hopes and Fears’. Generating hit singles ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, ‘Everybody’s Changing’, ‘This Is The Last Time’ and ‘Bedshaped’, this recording became one of the biggest selling albums in UK chart history and secured Keane’s place as one of Britain’s best-loved bands.

Keane will be joined by special guests Flyte and support Michael Conryan.
